Stamped Asphalt at Walmart, Wilkinson Blvd

A stamped crossing does a safety job and a design job at the same time. Pattern and colour make the pedestrian route read as a different surface from the drive lane, which is what actually slows a driver approaching it, and it does that without the joints, weed growth and settlement that come with laying real pavers across a traffic route.
Crown Paving installed the stamped asphalt crossing here, marked the lot, and set and painted the bollards at the storefront.
Bollards are the least interesting item on a retail site and among the most useful. They stand between a moving vehicle and the storefront glass, the utility cabinets and the doors, and painting them a high-visibility colour is what makes them work at night and in the rain. On a store this size the run from the parking bays to the entrance is the busiest pedestrian route on the property.
